The multimedia show of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race evokes the spirit of the North, through impressions conveyed by the emotional voices of the mushers themselves combined with compelling images from the race.

It takes the audience on an unforgettable journey along the Yukon Quest trail. The viewer will be able to sense what it means to run a dog team for a 1,000 miles through the vast Alaskan and Canadian wilderness along what has become known as ‘The Toughest Sled Dog Race in the World’.

Reviews:

“The Yukon Quest slide show frames Laurent’s spectacular images, including rare pictures from remote mountain crossings, with a sound track spiced with the raw observations gleaned from many hours of thoughtful interviews with weary racers. Take it from this Quest Red Lantern winner, this slide show puts the viewer so close to the action they will feel the torture of Eagle Summit. I suspect anyone who will see this unique production will gain a new understanding and appreciation of the bond of mushers and dogs that defines Alaska’s state sport.”
Brian Patrick O’Donoghue, Author of My Lead Dog Was a Lesbian and Honest Dogs

“I watched as a crowd of more than 350 people became transfixed and turned their full attention to the screen. Not only are the images of the highest quality, the narrative is moving. The combined result really holds one’s attention and excites the imagination. I actually felt like I was headed down the trail!
It is a must see for anyone with even an idle curiosity about sled dogs, the Yukon Quest, or the varied and different lifestyles of our modern-day pioneers.”
Michelle Roberts, Associate Director, Festival Fairbanks

“I found the Yukon Quest slideshow informative and entertaining. It provided the international press with an insight to what makes the Yukon Quest a great race and event.”
